Lot Essay

After frescoes on the façade of the Palazzo Milesi, Rome (P. Leone de Castris, Polidoro da Caravaggio: l'opera completa, Naples, 2001, no. 18). The two drawings are after the same frieze with the figure on the far right of (i) repeated on the far left of (ii).
