ATTRIBUTED TO GILLOWS, CIRCA 1790
Decorated throughout with foliage on a brick-red ground, each with anthemion-carved back above a caned seat on legs headed by stiff-leaf collars, traces of earlier green paint, the decoration refreshed in the 19th century, with batten-carrying holes, one stretcher missing
