Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard--Vintage 2000

5 dozen bottles per lot
Details
LA FLEUR DE BOUARD

The Boüard de Laforest family purchased La Fleur de Boüard in 1998. The family similarly owns the famous Château Angélus in Saint-Emilion, a Premier Grand Cru Classe A. Due to La Fleur de Boüard's proximity to the Pomerol plateau, the soil composition is two distinct types: clay-sand in the Neac area of the vineyard and gravel with 10 percent clay in Lalande de Pomerol. Oak contact varies depending on the wine and vintage, with the highest level, Le Plus de la Fleur de Boüard, receiving 33 months of maturation in 100 percent new oak. Annual production is about 5,500 cases.
