TWO ROCK CRYSTAL SNUFF BOTTLES
1750-1880
The first, 1750-1880, is a well-hollowed bottle of tapering, ovoid form. The second, 1780-1880, is a high-shouldered bottle of flattened square form, carved on one side with a prunus branch and on the reverse with stalks of bamboo. The smoky white stone is slightly crizzled with areas of tawny-brown inclusions. Together with a rock crystal oval snuff dish carved from flawless stone.
2 1/16 and 2¾ in. high and 2 in. wide (5.3, 7, and 5.1 cm.), jadeite, coral stoppers (2)
