TWO SMALL WHITE JADE ANIMAL CARVINGS
18TH/19TH CENTURY
One is carved as a cat with a dragonfly alighted on its back laying atop leaves borne on a stem that along with the cat's curled tail forms a loop. The smaller is carved as a recumbent dog with turned head and long tail that forms a loop. The stone of each is semi-translucent and softly polished.
