A SMALL PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE FACETED VASE AND COVER
The flattened, tapering body is carved in low relief on the two main sides with a highly stylized taotie mask incorporating ruyi motifs flanked by openwork scrolls suspending loose rings on the narrow sides and below a mask with 'ring' on the canted shoulder. A notched flange is in the center on two sides of the neck between small mask and loop handles suspending loose rings. The cover is surmounted by a flame finial and has further loose rings suspended from scroll loops. The stone is semi-translucent and of even color.
