A bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni
Tibet, 15th Century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with his hands in bhumisparsamudra, dressed in a diaphanous sanghati with the hems incised with a foliate pattern and the folds elegantly piled below the ankles, the face with elongated eyes centered by a raised urna and flanked by pendulous earlobes, the hair in tight curls over the ushnisha and topped with a knop
