A Dutch silver perpetual calender
Apparently unmarked, circa 1700
Circular, one face engraved with a central flower, inscribed CALENDARIUM PERPETUUM, the slits revealing the zodiac signs, months, the hours of the sun's rising and setting, and the lengths of the days and nights, the other face showing the days of the week, flanked by mermen, and engraved with a sailing vessel
5 cm. diam.
24 gr.
