AN 'IMITATION JADEITE' GLASS BELT HOOK
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The belt hook is carved with a dragon-head hook confronting an openwork chilong crawling along the curved shaft, and the underside is carved with a circular button for attachment. The richly mottled emerald-green glass successfully imitates jadeite.
