A FLAMBE-GLAZED FACETED VASE, FANGHU
QIANLONG INCISED SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The body is molded on each main side with a peach-shaped panel, and a pair of rectangular lug handles flanks the neck. The vase is covered with a finely mottled glaze of pale milky blue and reddish-purple color thinning to mushroom or red on the rims of the handles, mouth rim and lobed corners of the neck which has corresponding ribs on the milky blue-glazed interior. The interior of the foot is covered with a mottled russet and milky blue-grey glaze.
