(Small portion of blank title margin trimmed). 17th-century French mottled calf, spine gilt (light rubbing and minor wear to head of spine). Second augmented edition with additional illustrations. The first appeared in 1553. This work is dedicated to Belon's patron the Cardinal de Tournon and recounts the author's three-year journey (1546-1549) through Greece, Turkey, Palestine, Arabia and Egypt.
