4o (218 x 150 mm). Printed in red and black. Small woodcut on title of Saints Stephen and Valentine, 6 LEAVES OF THE CANON OF THE MASS (gathering x) PRINTED ON VELLUM, ONE FULL-PAGE ILLUMINATED WOODCUT OF THE CRUCIFIXION on X1 verso and two smaller woodcuts illuminated on X2r and x5v, each leaf on gathering x with contemporary leather tab, numerous small woodcuts, woodcut initials and borders, printer's device printed in red and black at end, musical notation in black on red staves. (Some occasional pale marginal dampstaining, occasional small wormtracks touching some letters.) Contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, title stamped on front cover, two brass clasps and catches (one catch partly lacking). Provenance: acquired from Lathrop C. Harper, 1977.

A very fine copy of this printed Missal, which was the last issued for the use of Passau. Sander 4710; Weale-Bohatta 778.
