A late 17th/early 18th century coral pendant
Carved as the figure of Neptune with raised arm probably formerly holding a trident, with gilt crown set with later cultured pearl finial, wearing a locket style glazed medallion enclosing a raised oval plaque depicting the head of Silenus, astride a stylised dolphin with cabochon ruby set eyes and sapphire single stone snout, suspended from fine belcher-link twin gold swags, circa 1700, probably Italian, all coral corallium rubrum
