A IVORY-HILTED CURVED DAGGER (KHANJARLI)
SOUTH INDIA, 18TH CENTURY
Of typical form with curved double-edged blade with engraved double central gutter and armour piercing point, raised panel to top with stylised figures and elephant heads on either side, curved knuckle guard with makara head terminal, hilt with distinctive semi-circular finial set in place with iron pins, on metal stand
