Persian manuscript on paper, 163ff. as numbered plus five fly-leaves, each folio with 23ll. of small black naskh script arranged in four columns with double black-ruled intercolumnar divisions, titles in larger gold, red or blue thuluth or nasta'liq script, some titles in illuminated cartouches, text within polychrome and gold frame, catchwords, with later salmon-pink paper margins, some of which have gold floral illumination, with three finely illuminated gold and polychrome headings, with two original very fine polychrome illuminated shamsas, and four probably later added shamsas, at least one folio misbound, the original illustrations removed, incomplete at beginning, in reddish 19th or 20th century morocco binding
