ONE WITH COLOPHON ASCRIBED TO AHMAD AL-NAYRIZI, LATE SAFAVID AND QAJAR IRAN, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
Comprising a finely illuminated prayer book, Arabic manuscript on paper, 17ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 14ll. of black naskh script on white in gold cloud bands, headings in gold and polychrome illuminated cartouches, with illuminated floral margins, opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, fly-leaf with date of AH 1270, in probably original stamped morocco binding; a Qajar Qur'an section comprising Qur'an XXXVI sura yasin and Qur'an XLVIII sura al-fath followed by prayers, Arabic manuscript on paper, 22ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 7ll. of black naskh script with Persian interlinear translation in red nasta'liq script, titles in red on gold ground cartouches, colophon with signature of Ahmad al-Nayrizi dated AH 1137 in Isfahan, in red morocco binding; and a Safavid prayer book, Arabic manuscript on paper, each folio with 14ll. of small black naskh script in red and gold rules, titles in red within cartouches, opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece and margins, colophon signed Ibn Hajji Muhammad Husayn al-Sabzwadi (?) and dated Tuesday end of Jumada AH 1121, followed by prayers, in floral lacquered binding,
