Lot Essay

This great meteorite was first discovered by Spanish explorers in Chaco, Argentina in 1572. Thousands of pieces have been found near the point of impact, the largest weighing an immense 37 tons. It has been determined from carbon dating, taken from charred wood remains from the crater, that the fall occured between 4,000 and 6,000 years ago. The cosmic radiation of the Meteorite mass was found to be relatively young at approximately 14 Million years old.
