Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Universal Genève, the present Tri-Compax reference 22100-2 was produced in 1963, while the Uni-Compax reference 12109 was produced in 1948.

Both Universal wristwatches are fine period examples of the traditional Swiss firm, which dates from 1894.

The Tri-Compax Universal triple calendar chronograph wristwatch reference 22100-2 is described and illustrated in Universal Watch Geneve. Chronographs and Complicated Wristwatches by Pietro Giuliano Sala, pp. 352-353 and the Uni-Compax chronograph reference 12109 is described in the same book, p. 231.
