The bevelled plate painted with two European ladies, one playing a cello, the other a harpsichord, in a pavilion framed by blue drapery beside a palm tree, a rocky landscape beyond, in original moulded zitan frame with bronze handle, inscribed to the reverse in red chalk 'over fireplace'
