The first each with broad double-edged blade, one waved, side-lugs, black-leather-covered ricasso, and iron hilt with spatulate quillons, side-rings, arms, black-leather-covered grip, and grooved pommel, one decorated with scrollwork; together with A CIRCULAR BLACK & WHITE TARGET IN GERMAN 16TH CENTURY STYLE, with turned roped rim, the centre with impressed cross, central spike and three fluted rivets for the carrying-straps (one missing), and velvet lining
The first respectively with 47in. (119.4cm.) and 48in. (122cm.); the shield 17in. (43.2cm.) diam. (3)
