A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'HUNDRED DEER' VASES, HU
LATE QING DYNASTY
Each vase is sturdily potted with a bulbous tapering body rising from a short foot, with a pair of stylised handles to the sides. They are enamelled on the exteriors with continuous scenes of deer cavorting in a tree-lined mountainous landscape. The bases bear apocryphal Qianlong seal marks.
