Each vase has twin monster-head handles suspending loose rings, carved in low relief with mirror images of two monkeys playing on a fruiting peach tree and to the reverse with a pair of birds perched amongst flowering prunus branches, all between bands of ruyi heads, keyfret scroll, flower heads and pendant lappets. The covers with Buddhist lion finials.
