A THREE-TIERED HUANGHUALI PICNIC BOX, TIHE
18TH 19TH CENTURY
The rectangular picnic box has a narrow cover opening to reveal a shallow tray and three trays set on a base frame and joined by an overhead square handle flanked by standing spandrels joined at the top by a humpbacked overhead handle, all held in place by an overhead brass lockpin. The corners of the base and the handles are reinforced by brass straps. The wood is of a yellowish brown tone with natural graining.
