A SMALL PEACH-BLOOM-GLAZE AMPHORA VASE

The slender vessel is covered all over with a mottled pinkish-brown glaze that falls short of the foot rim to reveal the body, the rim is glazed white. The white-glazed base has an apocryphal Kangxi underglaze blue six-character mark Da Qing Kangxi nian zhi.
6 1/8 in. (15.5 cm.) high, wood stand

With French dealer Vick, Nice, 1983.
By repute, formerly in the collection of the French ambassador to Shanghai in the late 19th century.
