A PALE CELADON AND GREY JADE BUDDHIST LION GROUP
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The recumbent beast is carved with its head turned slightly towards its cub, its tail flicked over its haunches and paws tucked underneath. Its bushy tail, eyebrows and backbone are finely detailed. The cub is carved looking up at the larger beast. The stone of the large Buddhist lion is celadon in tone, the cub is pale grey in tone.
