worked notably for the Court of Augustus II of Saxony.
Furet was the son of André Furet (d. before 1748) and during his
father's lifetime signed his clocks 'André Furet le Fils', indicating that this bracket clock was made after his father's death. Jean-André Furet is recorded as working at Rue de Saint-Honoré in 1747 and used cases by A.C. Boulle and Marchand (J.-D. Augarde, Les Ouvriers du
Temps, Geneva, 1996, p. 317; Tardy, Dictionnaire des Horlogers
