Lot Essay

Catterick Bridge Racecourse has a long tradition of racing meets. Although the permanent course was established in 1813, and the first recorded event was in 1783, it is thought that the first events took place around the mid-17th Century. To this very day, the venue is one of the key locations of the English racing, and was where the international flat racing champion Collier Hill won his first race, in 2002.
