FREUD, Sigmund (1856-1939). Typed letter signed ('Freud') to his Dutch translator Dr A.W. van Renterghem, 19 Berggasse, Vienna, 28 January 1926, in German, expressing his pleasure at news that there is to be a new Dutch edition of his Introduction to Psychoanalysis, and noting that there will be no necessity for changes to the translation, as he has made no revisions to the text in recent German editions; on his own health, he reports that his mouth cancer (which had first appeared in 1923) has been in remission for two years, and functionality is more or less restored ('Ich bin seit mehr als zwei Jahren redizivfrei und die Funktionen sind so ziemlich hergestellt'), one page, 8vo (traces of mount to verso).
