A CARVED WHITE JADE 'QUAILS' PENDANT
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The pendant of shaped rectangular form is carved to one side with two quails overshadowed by a large millet stalk, the other side with four characters Suisui Ping'an, 'May you have peace year after year', within double squares. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone.
2 1/4 in. (5.5 cm.) long
