On four feet, the hinged lid engraved with a central medallion encompassing a trophy marked with the initials P. D. surrounded by a vegetal spray at each corner, the borders with scrolling tendrils, each side with repeating triangular panels with a floral motif, the base engraved with an inscription in Tamil script, with original lock and key
