2 parts in one, 4o (218 x 154 mm), etched title, 12 full-page etched illustrations by Theodor Galle, engraved device on divisional title of "Occasio, drama," woodcut printer's device on last page. Contemporary gold-tooled flexible vellum, edges gilt (some minor staining to upper cover). Provenance: acquired from George Staack, 1962.
FIRST EDITION. Each of the fine etchings shows the goddess Opportunity (Occasio), with long hair covering her face. An Italian translation appeared in the following year. Princeton 267; Landwehr Dutch 54; Praz p.313.
