A GERMAN 20-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL
SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY
With two-stage swamped barrel with fluted breech-section, foliate chiselled girdle and large brass fore-sight, plain flat bevelled lock, moulded walnut full stock, brass mounts including spurred pommel and solid grooved side-plate lightly engraved with foliage, dark horn fore-end cap, and original ramrod with dark horn tip (steel refaced); together with A 22-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL, possibly Balkan, second half of the 18th century, with two-stage sighted barrel struck with a mark at the breech, rounded lock signed 'SUHLLANA' and engraved with scrollwork on the tail, later walnut full stock, plain iron mounts, and later ramrod
