A RARE GERMAN TINNED IRON HORSE-MUZZLE
DATED '1564'
Of slender chamfered riveted bars forming panels of scrollwork, hatched lines to flat surfaces, the upper borders each involving a stag being chased by a hound, the upper edge with pierced triangular cresting, the upper nasal-bar with applied salamander, a panel with scrolled ends bearing the date '1564', and later buckles (re-tinned throughout, some repairs)
