SIGNED IMW IN SCHESLIZ, LATE 18TH CENTURY
With tapering octagonal to round sighted barrels each signed 'IMW IN SCHESLIZ' on the sighting flat and respectively numbered from '1' to '4', each breech with its own priming-pan and steel, upper tangs each signed 'ZUM ZEICHEN SEINER ACHTUNG VON DEM J.M.L. MARQUIS VON CHASTELER', bright rounded back-action locks each with moulded border, walnut full stocks each carved in relief with scrollwork and comprising a bird's head butt and two fore-end fillets, gilt-brass mounts including trigger-guards each incorporating the barrel-release catch, and original brass-tipped ramrods
