PROBABLY GERMAN, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The scrolled pediment and moulded cornice above a cupboard door, with a central drop-down door enclosing a gilt-tooled leather writing surface beneath an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes, flanked on each side by a door enclosing a shelf, the lower section with a roll top enclosing a pull out secretaire drawer with a ratcheted writing slope and two wells beneath a central pair of burr maple veneered doors flanked by ebonised columns with ivory capitals and an arrangement of drawers, with three long drawers below
