Lot Essay

Tarzan first appeared in Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel Tarzan Of The Apes in 1912. It was adapted into a newspaper strip and was first published on 7 January, 1929. A full page Sunday strip began on 15 March, 1931 and was distributed to newspapers across the U.S. by United Features Syndicate.
