A SEVRES-STYLE TURQUOISE-GROUND SILVER-OVERLAID CASED DEJEUNER
CIRCA 1900, SPURIOUS INTERLACED L'S MARKS ENCLOSING C ABOVE 64, TWO PIECES WITH INCISED NUMERALS
Each piece with a high scroll handle and overlaid in silver with arched panels below flower swags suspended from foliate scrolls, the turquoise ground reserved with silver-framed brown ground oval medalllions, each painted to simulate an antique cameo with a profile portrait of a classical figure, comprising:
A footed teapot and cover
A footed milk-jug
A footed sugar-bowl and cover
Two footed teacups and saucers
An oval two-handled tray
Within a hinged, rectangular leather travelling case with brass handle and lock, the silk-lined interior with fitted compartments
some slight tarnishing to silver
The tray 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide, the case 19¼ in. x 15 3/8 in. (48.9 cm. x 39 cm.)
