Oblong with gadroon borders and shell and leaf corners, the large oval handles bead-edged and decorated in relief with a large flower-head below foliate grips terminating in lion masks, the covers and bases engraved with a baronial coat of arms to either side, the interior sides of both dishes engraved with the monogram SEW below a baron's coronet, the domed oblong covers with rounded corners and fluted girdle, the stands with detachable tops and raised on shell, leaf, scroll and paw feet with conforming side handles

The arms are for Sophia Elizabeth Wykeham, Baroness Wenman, created baroness in her own right, June 13, 1834, died unmarried 9th August, 1870
