One side stained, the kings, queens, bishops and pawns with ripple turning, the knights as rearing horses, the rooks as turrets, replaced pieces -- both kings (bone), both stained knights (wood), one natural rook (bone)
The king -- 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high; the pawn -- 2 in. (5 cm.) high
