Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Nihon koku Kyoto ju Komai sei
The globular jar inlaid in gilt nunomezogan, hirazogan and silver, the box decorated with maple leaves in between three cartouches of landscapes, peonies and a rooster and hen, the lid with butterflies, signature on underside of the box
