Shakyamuni Buddha with the Thousand Buddhas
Tibeto-Chinese, circa 1800
The Buddha seated in bhumisparsamudra over a lotus throne at center and surrounded by a thousand Buddhas of this age, the bottom row centered by red Hayagriva with Shadbhuja Mahakala on the left and Vajrapani on the right, flanked by the Four Guardian Kings on either side, all set against a dark blue sky and green field and surrounded by a painted blue-and-white floral border
