A RARE LARGE STRAW-GLAZED POTTERY BOTTLE VASE
SUI DYNASTY (AD 581-618)
The well-potted vase has an ample, ovoid body that tapers to the short neck below a cupped mouth with an everted rim. The vase is covered overall with a finely crackled, green-tinged, ivory-tone glazed that pools to a crystal-like green tone in the crevices of the interior of the mouth and falls short of the foot in thick drops to reveal the white pottery body.
