TWO SMALL GILT-BRONZE FIGURES OF BODHISATTVAS
18TH CENTURY
One is a figure of Tara shown seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, with hands in varada and vitarka mudras, and with lotus blossoms at the shoulders. She is dressed in a dhoti and a scarf over the shoulders, and adorned in jewelry and a crown of five leaves. The other is shown seated in padmapana on a double-lotus base and holding an alms bowl. She is dressed in a dhoti, a scarf over the shoulders, beaded jewelry and a five-pointed crown.
