The panel is woven in subtle shades of red, grey, brown and green with a scene of the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara seated on a lotus leaf rising from waves in front of a rock, with a pine tree and bamboo behind. A female attendant approaches from behind, and a small boy in the foreground raises his arms in reverence to the goddess. The scene is set against a taupe-colored background with details painted in black.
