TWO WHITE JADE TWO-PART BELT BUCKLES
18TH/19TH CENTURY
One half of each buckle has a dragon-head hook, the other a corresponding loop, and each half has a circular button on the underside. The smaller belt buckle is carved in high relief on the top of each half with a chilong grasping a trailing stem of lingzhi in its jaws. Each half of the larger belt buckle is carved in openwork with a chilong with tightly scrolled body facing in the opposite direction of the other.
