The rectangular case with turned finials, the dial engraved with Roman chapter ring, half hour star marks, and Arabic 24 hours to inner ring, with subsidiary dial for quarters, the three train movement with verge escapement (formerly balance wheel), quarter striking the hours on two bells and striking the hour on the third bell, with cow tail pendulum across dial, the top plate signed Georg Ecterle(?) to underside of top plate, with weights
