With a smooth rectangular shaft, surmounted by the head of the aged god of wine, with a thick mustache and a projecting spade-shaped beard, formed of six columns of corkscrew curls, the eyes deeply set beneath an overhanging brow, wearing a wreath of ivy and berries in his hair and a fillet across his forehead, the ties and unruly locks falling to his shoulders
