THE STAND WITH MARK OF HENDRIK VAN BEEST, ROTTERDAM, 1724, THE SNUFFERS ROTTERDAM 1747, MAKER'S MARK LH WITH CROWN ABOVE
The stand on shaped square base with reeded borders, the baluster stem terminates in a shaped square socket with scroll handle, the snuffers scissor action with ring handles, engraved underneath the base with initials 'PM' and 'FM', marked under stand and inside snuffers, each with a later Dutch tax mark
