CASE: the waisted case with chinaman finial, foliate mounts, on rocaille feet, a gryphon to glazed panel below dial, on conforming bracket with rococo mounts, the whole inlaid with red, cream and blue resin, green-stained horn and mother of pearl flowers and foliage DIAL: the white enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic five minutes, pierced gilt-brass hands and blued-steel alarm hand MOVEMENT: the twin barrel movement with pull quarter repeat, pull alarm and verge escapement, quarter striking on two bells, pendulum; case key
