"The 2005 is one of the finest efforts from this property in over twenty years. A blend of 45 Cabernet Sauvignon, 35 Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the wines dense plum/purple color is followed by smoky aromas of incense, blue fruits as well as black currants, cedar, and a hint of dried herbs. Medium-bodied, moderately tannic, savory, and concentrated, it will require 2-3 years of cellaring, and should keep for a decade or more." RP, Wine Advocate 164, 2006, 87-89 pts.
